Event Details

Challenging. Wild. Scenic! Alpine Century is your opportunity to ride through Oregon's wild and scenic beauty on some of the best cycling roads in the Northwest, Alsea Scenic Byway and Lobster Valley Road.

The 50-mile or 100-mile routes feature a sense of remote beauty with 4000 ft or 6000 ft elevation gain and loss. These challenging ascents and descents are a rider's dream when combined with long stretches of quiet rural roads that are completely shaded and gently wind along beautiful streams and rivers.

Alpine Century's well supplied rest stops and SAG support are staffed by friendly local volunteers and HAM radio operators to assure perfect ride coordination and safety. A delicious gourmet lunch made with fresh local ingredients is waiting for you at the completion of your ride.

Local volunteers love serving and greeting you at the rest stops and at lunch at the end of the ride. Your registration supports the Alpine Community Center, a grass-roots, all-volunteer community center that provides a low-cost pre-school, Holiday Festival, recycling center, email newsletter, community gatherings, and other programs of value in our rural community.

Pre-registration is required and continues until August 4. All riders are entered into a drawing to win delightful contributions from local brewers, wineries, crafts people, and more!

Visit www.alpinecommunity.net/pg23.cfm for links to route maps, a video from the 2011 Alpine Century, and more.
